I'm 28 years old, born to an immigrant mother from Hungary and an American father. My upbringing instilled in me a deep respect for immigrants and their struggles, thanks to my mom's incredible journey to become a naturalized citizen in the early 2000s.
My mom's determination and love got us through the discrimination we faced just for speaking Hungarian in public, the first language we all shared together. She taught me to stick to who you are and stand up for what’s right. I also learned to speak Spanish so I can better communicate with other immigrants as I felt they were better able to understand what I was going through.
At 18, I embarked on a life-changing journey from Orlando, Florida, to the vibrant city of Los Angeles, driven by my desire for education and passion for voice acting and the arts. Armed with just a few hundred dollars and all my belongings in my car, I was ready to pursue my dreams.
Facing Hardship and Finding Purpose
Life had its share of challenges. Six months into my LA adventure, I found myself living out of my car. This experience opened my eyes to the less glamorous side of the city, where resources were misappropriated, housing was unaffordable, and the cost of living was overwhelming.
Blessed with some support from my Aunt, I made it through. But I realized that many people don’t have that safety net. It strengthened my resolve to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate, especially those who had fallen on hard times.
I also recently had a firsthand experience with a seemingly simple workplace injury, which gave me an inside look at how confusing and contrived our current healthcare system can be. Fortunately, my injury was not life-threatening, but it highlighted the stress and complexities that many individuals and families face when dealing with our dysfunctional healthcare system.
A Lifelong Commitment to Civic Engagement
I pursued a degree in Political Science at UC Riverside, where I graduated in 2022. Since I was 18, I've been dedicated to getting people involved in the political process. I've volunteered and interned on political campaigns, analyzed public policies for chambers of commerce, advocated for small business owners, and connected people with their elected representatives.
As a candidate for the California State Assembly, I'm committed to addressing the pressing issues that matter most to our district. My campaign focuses on:
Addressing the homelessness crisis.
Fixing the housing shortage.
Reducing the impact of inflation on everyday people by lowering the gas tax and providing opportunities for would be entrepreneurs.
Encouraging the community to get engaged with the political process.
Fighting for Universal Healthcare Coverage for all Californians.
