Merlyn Huso is a retired financial officer and avid outdoorsman. For 27 years he worked with a combined rural electric and telephone cooperative operation. A Marine Corps veteran, Merlyn is making his first bid for public office.
Merlyn is a graduate of the University of North Dakota.
He is past chairman of both Back Country Horsemen of Montana and BCH of America. Currently he is a member of Traditional Bowhunters of Montana and The Coalition to Protect the Rocky Mountain Front. He has participated with many organizations including the USDA Resource Advisory Council (RAC) for Lewis and Clark, Broadwater, Jefferson, and Teton Counties and Habitat for Humanity.
Politically independent for most of his life, he stresses working together for the benefit of all Montanans.
