Jamaal M. Walker is a native of West Helena, Arkansas. He is a 1999 graduate of Central High School in West Helena. Jamaal earned his undergraduate degree in English from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in 2003. Upon completing college, Jamaal attended the University of Arkansas School of Law in Fayetteville, where he earned his law degree in 2006 after which he returned home to Helena-West Helena to give back to the community he was raised in.
Jamaal has been practicing law since 2007. He began his career as an attorney for low income individuals at Legal Aid of Arkansas, Inc. He has also been an attorney for children in foster care. He has always demonstrated a concern for people.
Jamaal is married to Shenna M. Walker and they have four beautiful children. He is the son of C. R. and Pearl Walker. He is a member of St. Paul M. B. Church in Helena, Arkansas where Rev. Amos Newell is his pastor.
